otherwise, well … i could copy my comments from elsewhere about this great bit of work you’ve done, zappa. maybe i’ll search ‘em out and do just that, to bring the conversation here.

whether we want to admit it or not, when there are those who will share and give, and others who will only take and take, we have to create rules to keep things in balance. with rules come the need for some type of system for the application of those ‘rules’ by which some will agree to live, but then not really follow. ie people say they’re revolutionary, need somewhere to be, but are not willing to put in time or resources in trade for the safe space to be … which leaves the person having the safe space in the position of ‘enforcing’ fairness instead of only participating in it. a person sharing space, for instance, also ends up sharing food. unless those borrowing the space voluntarily find ways to provide food to the group, the same person, the one who has managed to acquire the space and has a habit of providing food, will soon have their own resources depleted by those who are in need … with no reimbursement.

i love your ideas, as you know. i’m just pushing for these ideas to be developed into specifics which will help us stay in true equitable balance with each other.
